Environmental problems can be reduced or
eliminated by using highly reactive hydrated lime slurry. Most water and wastewater treatment require spent lime to be disposed of in either land fills or ponds. Using a highly reactive lime slurry reduces the volume of lime in need of disposition. If caustic is being used for water treatment rather than lime slurry, a large expense can be incurred in handling and disposing of used hazardous chemicals. By replacing caustic with low viscosity lime slurry, it is possible to save a substantial amount in handling and disposal expenses by using non-hazardous hydrated lime slurry. |
